Yale School of Medicine is accepting applications from US scholars for the China Medical Board (CMB) Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in China.
The U.S. and China share an important modern history of global health dialogue and collaboration. Outcomes from such collaborations have not only helped strengthen national and transnational health outcomes in the form of shared knowledge and biomedical tools but have also served as an important means of promoting person-to-person and institution-to-institution relationships through research training. The CMB Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in China establishes a unique training program to support U.S. scholars in the biomedical sciences who seek outstanding mentored research training and the opportunity to build collaborative partnerships in China.
This program leverages longstanding partnerships at two world-class collaborating Chinese academic centers, and an established community of faculty and leadership dedicated to global health training at Yale—through the NIH Fogarty International Center- sponsored Global Health Equity Scholars Program, and the CMB Global Health Leadership Development Program to deliver an unparalleled training experience.
Trainees will undergo one year of mentored research training under the supervision of an experienced mentorship team from Yale and the collaborating Chinese institution, with the option to extend the fellowship for a second year if program goals are met during the first year.
