The 2023 Senesh Fellowship for Women in peace and Development Studies

The International Peace Research Association Foundation invites applications for the Dorothy Marchus Senesh Fellowship in Peace and Development Studies for Women from countries in the Global South

The systematic observation or study of conflict phenomena and peace strategies is what sets peace research apart. It explains how to improve the conditions for peace or get rid of the things that lead to conflict and other types of violence.

Also, Peace Research is a rigorous investigation into the causes of conflict and an examination of alternatives to violence.  Peace researchers inform peace activities that inspire visions of a peaceful world.

Benefits

The Senesh Fellowship Fellowships provide $5,000 per year for two years for both women, for a total of $10,000 each.

Eligibility

The Senesh Fellowship welcomes women from the Global South who have completed a bachelor’s degree have been admitted to a graduate program, and whose graduate work will be focused on issues related to the IPRA Foundation’s goals and are eligible for the Dorothy Fellowship.

Application Process

Applications for the 2023 Senesh Fellowship should include:

  • Application (English, Spanish or French)
  • Letter of Acceptance to your graduate program (maybe pdf)
  • 3 Letters of Recommendation (recommenders must email letters directly to Ms. Crystal Money.)
