Job Position: Lecturer in Economic History, Utrecht University (Full-Time)

The Department of History and Art History, Utrecht University Invites applications for the position of a temporary Lecturer in Economic and Social History at the university in the Netherlands.

The lecturer will be involved in high-quality teaching and supervision tasks within the regular programs offered by the Economic and Social History group on Bachelor’s and Master’s level and in Utrecht University’s multidisciplinary PPE program. They are expected to teach a wide range of subjects, including those beyond their own expertise.

Salary
  • a salary ranges between €2,709 and € 4,978,
  • holiday bonus of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3% per year.

Job Requirements

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Have a Ph.D. degree or far advanced Ph.D. trajectory in Economic and Social History or a related discipline;
  • Have experience teaching undergraduate students and a commitment to thesis supervision and internships;
  • Show ambition and ability to contribute fully to the academic life of the group and the department.
  • Obtain the Basic Teaching Qualification (BKO) within two years, if they are not already in possession of one according to Utrecht teaching qualification.
