Canon Collins Trust University of London Master of Law Scholarships 2022

The Canon Collins Trust is accepting applications for scholarships to study by distance learning at the University of London in 2022 for the Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma, and/or Master of Laws (LLM).

Applicants can begin at any level and do not have to finish the entire program. they can, for example, begin at the Postgraduate Certificate level and progress to the LLM, or they can discontinue after finishing the PG Certificate. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree can start at the LLM level and forgo the PG Certificate and Diploma.

Students must meet the appropriate qualifications for admission to the program in order to be considered for a scholarship. Applicants do not need to be admitted to the program before applying for the scholarship, but if they are selected for a scholarship, they will need to apply for admission separately.

Duration: 18 months

Canon Collins Trust offers a full tuition waiver and examination entry fees scholarship.

Eligibility

Canon Collins Trust requires applicants for this scholarship to be:

  • a national of, or have refugee status in, one of the following countries: Malawi, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe
  • normally resident in one of these countries
  • currently employed in full or part-time work;
  • in possession of the necessary qualifications required for admission to the programme
  • able to commit a minimum of 10 hours to study per week.

Selection

Canon Collin’s Trust LLM scholarship programs will be assessed on the basis of the information that they supply on their application form against the criteria outlined below:

  • academic merit,
  • work experience,
  • need and the potential to contribute to southern Africa’s future prosperity

Application Process

All applicants are to submit the following supporting documentation:

  • ID document (the following are acceptable: passport, birth certificate, driver’s license)
  • Academic transcripts, if applying for LLM
  • Degree certificates, if applying for LLM, or school/other certificates
  • A copy of the two most recent payslips.
  • Reference letters from two referees
