The Banque de France and the European University Institute (EUI) are calling for paper submissions for their yearly joint conference that will take place in Florence on the theme ‘Worlds Apart: International Macro in a Changing World’.
The conference will cover a variety of themes related to the new directions in academic research and their policy implications. These topics include (but are not limited to):
- Balance sheet policies, international reserves, and the exchange rate
- International Currencies and the Global Financial Cycle
- Sovereign risk and monetary policy
- Macroeconomic implications of geopolitical fragmentation
- Stabilization of tariff and GVC shocks
- Policy stabilization of tail risk and global imbalances
- Monetary policy, exchange rates, and inflation
- Monetary/currency regimes and international trade
Both theoretical and empirical papers are suited, and applications using euro area data are particularly welcome.
