Call for Applications: Tenure-Track Position at the Faculty of Nursing

For tenure-track jobs, the Faculty of Nursing is looking for exceptional academics. They are specifically looking for career professors with doctoral degrees who can provide expertise in research, teaching, and academic citizenship.

They encourage all competent individuals to apply. As the largest nursing faculty in the country, they are one of only six in Canada to offer a full range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Their priorities include:

Tasks

  • Typical workload for a Tenure Track Faculty Member is Teaching 40%, Research 40% and Service 20%.
  • Contribute to Faculty, University, and community service,
  • Supervise graduate students, teach in both the graduate and undergraduate nursing programs.

Job Requirements

As a qualified applicant for a tenure-track position at the Faculty of Nursing, the following is required:

  • PhD in Nursing (or a related discipline). 
  • Preference will be given to applications who have completed a postdoctoral fellowship or have one in progress.
  • Current registration or eligibility for registration as a nurse with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
  • Have an identified research focus and demonstrate commitment to teaching excellence
  • Evidence of an identified research focus and demonstrated potential for success in peer-reviewed grant applications.
  • Commitment to teaching excellence and supervision of undergraduate honors students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows.
