The Groningen Research Institute of Pharmacy (GRIP), University of Groningen is inviting applications for the Assistant/Associate Professor position in Design of Targeted Pharmaceuticals.
They are looking for an Assistant or Associate Professor who can strengthen their research position in the field of advanced delivery systems and novel targeting strategies. This is particularly relevant for biologicals, which represent the fastest-growing group of therapeutic entities in Western society. Although some of these biologicals (specifically monoclonal antibodies) can be used as an advanced drug delivery system in itself, many other biological compounds, such as antisense oligonucleotides, RNA- and DNA-based therapeutics, peptides and proteins, rely on specialized delivery systems. By combining the developments in the fields of nanomedicine and drug targeting, a powerful tool to design targeted pharmaceuticals can be created.
