AH Young Scholar of the month is Boluwatito Awe from Nigeria!
Boluwatito Awe works with communities in rural Nigeria to address social development issues through Behavior Change with a special focus on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Gender, Equity and Non-discrimination. Her research has been in social and development issues as well as behaviour change.
She has worked with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) as a researcher on a handwashing promotion study in Nigeria, conducted a study with other independent researchers to test a method for analysing and assessing the risks associated with sanitation, using the sanitation situation around the Nile Valley in Egypt. She had also embarked on a study into nutrition and health and is currently conducting a study on how nutrition knowledge impacts food choices among young adults in Nigeria.
