The Global Pluralism Award 2023 (CAD $50,000 Prize Each)

Nominations for the 2023 Global Pluralism Award are now open to Pluralism champions.

The Global Pluralism Award recognizes pluralism in action. It celebrates the extraordinary achievements of organizations, individuals, and governments who are tackling the challenge of living peacefully and productively with diversity.

The Award was born out of the reality that building inclusive societies requires great effort but often comes with little recognition or support. The Global Award recognizes and supports individuals, organizations, governments, and other entities that are tackling the challenge of living peacefully and productively with diversity. Its goal is to honor those who are working to make the world a better place by valuing diversity and promoting varied communities.

Benefits

  • Award winners will receive a CAD $50,000 cash prize.
  • Three winners and up to seven honorable mention recipients will be invited to attend the Award ceremony in late 2023.
  • All costs, including economy airfare, accommodation, and daily allowance will be covered for each of the three Award winners and honorable mention recipients or their delegates.

Eligibility

Candidates from any country are eligible, including:

  • Individuals (e.g., artists, journalists, academics, policy-makers, filmmakers, etc.);
  • Civil society organizations (e.g., professional associations, faith-based organizations, labor unions, non-profit research or educational institutions, local community groups, non-governmental organizations, foundations, think tanks, etc);
  • Social enterprises;
  • Corporations (public or private);
  • Educational, research, and policy institutions (public or private);
  • Local/municipal, regional, or federal/ national branches or agencies of government.

Selection

An independent international Jury of experts will evaluate submissions using the following criteria:

  • Relevance to pluralism
  • Impact
  • Authenticity

To submit an application, applicants will need to create a Submittable account.  All they need is an email and password to create their account, it’s that simple
