IBRO-MENA School and Conference for African and Middle-Eastern Region

Application for the IBRO-MENA School and Conference on Clinical Neuroscience: From Bench to Bedside is open.

This program is organized by Dr. Samia Ben Sassi (Mongi Ben Hamida National Institute of Neurology, Faculty of Medicine, Tunis El Manar University)The aim of this IBRO-MENA school and conference is to introduce students to neurogenomics and to try to bridge the gap between basic neuroscience and clinical practice.

The IBRO-MENA conference is divided into two parts: a three-day advanced neurogenetics school and a three-day clinical neuroscience conference. Through hands-on NGS and bioinformatics workshops, the school hopes to introduce students to the new era of genomics and molecular biology brought about by next-generation sequencing. The focus of the conference will be on the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management of neurological disorders. Participants will hear didactic lectures from internationally recognized experts as well as participate in panel discussions with question and answer sessions. They will also present their research and have the opportunity to discuss it with faculty.

Eligibility

The IBRO-MENA conference is intended for neurology residents, neurologists, and graduate and undergraduate neuroscience students. Only students from the African and Middle-eastern regions are eligible to apply.
