The University of Bayreuth a research-oriented university with international and interdisciplinary profiles is inviting applications for Postdoc Positions in Project Management.
The CRC office and the integrated research training group TransMat offer a joint project management position. TransMat provides tailored and interdisciplinary training for CRC’s PhD students to improve their scientific excellence and soft skills. This will be achieved through lectures, seminars, international exchange, and mentoring.
The CRC office will manage the coordination and central tasks of the CRC MultiTrans. It is responsible for budget management and accounting and will implement and promote measures for equal opportunities, diversity, young researchers, and the compatibility of academic activity with family responsibilities. The office will organise outreach activities, CRC meetings, events and conferences, and the guest programme for national and international researchers and lecturers within the framework of the Transport Academy. Furthermore, the CRC office will participate in the quality control for the CRC’s research and liaise with data management activities in the INF project.
Tasks
- Budget management with the project leaders and accounting with the DFG
- Implementing and promoting measures for equal opportunities, diversity, young researchers, and family-friendly policies
- Promote and foster measures for scientific exchange and quality control within the CRC
- Organisation of CRC activities as mentioned above
- Promote activities for knowledge transfer and public relations to the international scientific community and the general public
- Organization of the research training group TransMat
- Liaise with data management activities within the INF project
Starting Date: October 1, 2023
Salary
- Salary is based on pay grade E13 TV-L 100%.

Job Requirements

- Master’s and PhD degrees in natural science or related fields
- Experience in working with interdisciplinary research teams
- Ability to work independently and organized is mandatory
- Fluency in English, both in oral and written communication
- Excellent communication, administration, and project management skills are of advantage

- Experience in one of the following areas is welcome: chemistry, physics, engineering, material science
- Dynamic and open-minded personality who enjoys organizing and managing cutting-edge research in an interdisciplinary collaborative research center
