The German Bundestag International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS) for 2024

Applications are open for the German Bundestag International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS) for Young University Graduates for the 2024 session.

Every January, the German Bundestag invites politically and socially committed university graduates from South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda to a scholarship program in Berlin. The core of the program is a one-week internship in the office of a member of the German Bundestag.

Knowledge of parliamentary democracy and the operation and function of parliament is passed on for this reason through a brief preparation. As part of a political mandate, the issues of a pluralistic society, the protection of minorities, and a culture of remembrance are also addressed. A project management workshop aims to assist individuals in creating their own project concepts with the goal of advancing democracy and civil society in their particular countries of origin.
