The University of Alberta’s Alberta School of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Finance. They will be recruiting for more than one position.
Responsibilities of the position include teaching finance courses in undergraduate and graduate programs, conducting and publishing research in top-tier finance journals, and providing service to the school’s academic activities. The school has an energetic PhD program, and the successful candidate will play an active role in its continued success and development.

Start Date: The anticipated start date is July 1, 2023.
Salary
A tenure-track faculty position in finance at the Alberta School of Business will pay a salary commensurate with qualifications and competitive with other research-focused business schools in North America.
Job Requirements
- Candidates will have graduated from an accredited PhD program in a relevant area, such as finance and economics.
- Candidates who are close to PhD completion may be considered; however, the appointment will be contingent upon the completion of the PhD by an agreed-upon date.
- hey are seeking candidates possessing an excellent research record or potential for publication in top journals in Finance, an alignment with the current research competencies of the department (corporate finance, asset pricing, financial institutions, market microstructure), and evidence of teaching excellence. Proficiency in English is required.
